Helen (Hudson, How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days) is an adorable Hipster whose rapid rise in the fashion industry head sideswiped when they opt for the increase of three children, left in her care by the early death of one of her sisters. It is a standard-frivolous-girl-grows-up story with an uneven script, but observed by Hudson, John Corbett (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), ever sexy Helen Mirren (Calendar Girls), and especially Joan Cusack (In and Out - Addams Family Values), which takes an obnoxious, uptight suburban mother and makes her the film the emotional core. It is a miracle, alchemy; Cusack is a contemporary comedy of the main performers. - Bret Fetzer
