Although it contains some of the songs, this is not the Time-Life Christmas collection annually advertised on TV. It is actually a budget version of this anthology, and not a bad deal at all. Some may argue that it lacks the two Elvis Presley songs found on the three TV-CD version. Others will say that every self-respecting Christmas music fan probably (have or should have) Elvis's wonderful Christmas Album '57. What is attractive about this is it collects a lot of classic singular achievements in one place - a bit too much Bing Crosby, perhaps, but also the original hit versions of "Jingle Bell Rock," Eartha Kitt "Santa Baby", Burl Ives's "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "The Drifters" White Christmas "(the blueprint for the version of Elvis).
